How do I find out the password on my wireless network? I tried doing a system restore and it deleted my password shit so I have to figure out what the password is. The motherfucking cable guy wouldn't tell me the password. Actually, he told me the password was someshit like 1234 and that doesn't work. Is there a faster way to find my password than calling those assholes and waiting for an hour.

Dang that sucks man - hopefully you have the manual that came with your wireless device...most devices have some sort of reset sequence (not a restore) that will reset your device to its factory settings (including the admin password) - you can then reset your passphrase at that time. Good luck man. If possible, post your model of wireless router and I'm sure someone can find the manuals online and help as well...

I have 4 other computers on the same wireless network, does that help at all? Can I go on one of those computers and figure the password out?

If you admit that Bush sucks and he will go to hell i will help you out!!!!:lolBIG: ...

The password you are looking for is the password to your wireless modem...There is no way the guy at the customer service desk could know what it is..this password is set by you or whoever set up your wireless network and it is most definately not 1234!!!!!

You can reset this password by going into the wireless modem interphase..
(you have to type in some address like http://121.34.334.3 (thats a random number dont copy and paste that crap into your pc, we know how your right wing nuts cant use info)

Other than that, reset your wirless modem entirely by hitting the reset button or disconnectinge it for about 30 secs (not sure if the disconnect thing works) BTW make sure you reset the actual wireless modem not any other crap you might have your internet routed through...

If you reset your modem remember to go back and enter a new password or else you will find yourself explaining to Doc Mercer that it was not really you who logged on to www.prettymen.com/rightwing-sugardaddy.html and ordered 40 gay dvds!!!!

Ok, i'll try that. Some guy from the cable company came and set up each computer with this netgear software on every comp that didn't have a built-in wireless modem (mine does). He told me 2 passwords I believe, 1234 and some other 4 letter password.

I signed on one of the other comps that has the netgear software and I saw a passphase box that had some sort of password that was like 20 digits/numbers long. Hopefully your resetting strategy will work so I don't have to figure out a 20 digit/letter passphase.

It Worked. Thanks!

Its important that you go back and figure out how to reset the password and enter a new one...

You can leave it as it is but your neighbours can probably log on to your computers and view all your disgusting republican porn!!! Plus they will use your internet connection for free too!!!

I don't think I actually reset password, I just found out what it was. My account name was admin and my password was like 5 letters that I wrote down somewhere. On the password page I found my passphase that was like 20 letters/digits long. I copied and pasted it into that login box and I think i should be ok from liberal hackers. or at least I think so.
